Thomas Billimek


Deacon Thomas E. Billimek was born in San Antonio, Texas. He was ordained deacon in the Roman Rite for the Archdiocese of San Antonio on May 22, 1983, and is assigned to minister at St. Brigid Catholic Church. He has also been ministering at St. George since 2010. He serves as the at-large representative for clergy on the San Antonio Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, is a member of the Deacon Advisory Committee for the Archdiocese of San Antonio, and serves as a master of ceremonies for the Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, MSpS.

He holds baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees in psychology and a masters degree in religious studies. He is professor of psychology and chair of the Psychology, Philosophy, and Student Development Department at San Antonio College. He is retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel and served most of his military career in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He is married to the former Sharon Pugh Billimek since March 27, 1971, and they have three children – Susan (Fayetteville, AR), John and his wife Donna (Irvine, CA), and Sarah and her husband Adam (San Antonio, TX) and two grandchildren – Wyatt and Riley (Irvine, CA).
