Volunteers Needed for Research Study

Rose Karam, a parishioner of StGeorge is conducting her doctoral research study to increase the understanding of the role of the Maronite Church among 3rd and 4th generation American Lebanese. As a Maronite you are in an ideal position to give valuable firsthand information from your own perspective. The interview takes around 30 minutes and is very informal. Your participation will be a valuable addition to this research and findings could lead to greater public understanding of the Maronite church and its people. If you are willing to participate please contact Rose Bashara Karam at or by phone at 210-232-5124.

Second Collection

There will be a second collection on Sunday, September 17, to assist those in need in Houston, Texas after Hurricane Harvey. The destruction in Houston, TX is tremendous and many are displaced and staying in shelters. This includes parishioners of Our Lady of the Cedars Church. If Our Lady of the Cedars Church is in need of specific assistance, some of the funds will go directly to them and the other portion will be sent directly to the USCCB.
