Registration for Faith Formation will occur on Sunday, August 26 after the 11:00 AM Liturgy. Fees for one child are $40 and $70 for two or more children. Classes will begin on Sunday, September, 16 from 9:00-10:45 AM in the MCC. There will be a blessing for all FF participants during The 11:00 AM liturgy. Immediately following Liturgy, FF will be hosting a luncheon in the MCC open to all parishioners to help support the religious education program at St. George. Please note: For parents seeking to enroll their children to receive First Communion, this is a two year program taught in the 1st and 2nd grade classes with a well-established curriculum and qualified teachers. MYO Youth Meeting
Sunday, September 9th, MYO will have its first meeting for the youth after the 11:00 Am Liturgy. Saturday, September 15th, Registration and meeting for both parents and teens after the 5:00 PM Liturgy at the MCC. Please bring a dish to share. There will be a presentation for our next pilgrimage to the shrines of Italy on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the church. The dates of the pilgrimage are March 19-29, 2019.
Next week there will be a second collection for the Catholic University of America. The Catholic University of America, located in Washington, D.C., is the national university of the Catholic Church. Founded in 1887, CUA offers students an excellent education in a faith-filled atmosphere that is grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition. The Collection for The Catholic University of America underwrites scholarships to assist financially deserving students in completing their education at CUA in over 50 disciplines. Please be generous.
